Zombie Art

I have been drawing and painting some Zombie themed pieces lately for a couple reasons...They are fun...and they sell! I mean we're all Capitalists at heart.
I try and make these pieces as affordable as possible so many are done on wood, cardboard or old canvas. Prices start at $15 a print and increase with size. The majority sell for between $35 - $60
and I sell most of them at the Farmer's Market in Downtown Wilmington every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.
"Vegan Zombie" is a favorite. If you are interested in purchasing one, please contact me markweber2@gmail.com  Please click on image to enlarge.

Sketching and Cleaning

Well, it's been hectic these past few months so I will use that as an excuse as t why I have not posted
anything. The Custom Caricatures have been keeping me very busy for one thing.
I also received a commission for a 21 page comic which is currently in the pencil stages.
Can't wait to go to inks on it! I will post samples from it after getting the ok from the client etc.,
when it is finished.

In the meantime, this is a sketch I did to warm up yesterday. I cleaned it up , framed it and colored it.

Fun Commission!! A New Venue

I was commissioned by Jeffrey Miller Catering of Philadelphia,PA to illustrate a piece
depicting the opening of their new venue at the Michener Museum. The client provided me with architectural renderings and various photographs. From there I provided them with a rough sketch. After the sketch was approved,I went on to final art as shown here.

Film Noir

A little sketch that took on a film noir type feel. I did it on a beige cover stock
in ink & watercolor then played with some color in photoshop. It was a doodle that just kept going.

I love the old gum shoe films and am a big fan of Darwynn Cooke's "Parker" series which is plainly evident in this piece. But, I have been drawing that girl waaaay before I ever laid eyes on one of Mr. Cooke's babes!
